Angelou’s poem deals with racism were writer portrays positive and strong tone throughout the poem with respect to the society. She presents us with an insight into what life was like for a black woman in the society. Angelou skilfully manages to take a subject as dreadful as racism and leaves the reader of her poem feeling both angry and proud at the same time.
